Car Insurance

If you’re new to driving or learning to drive and looking to get insurance for the first time, you’ve come to the right place. We’ve outlined some of the key things you need to know and assembled a few suggestions for your first insurance provider.

Learner driver insurance is temporary car insurance for learner drivers, irrespective of whether you are learning with RED, which allows you to get some practice sessions in your own car, or in a friend’s or relative’s car. It covers you as a provisional driving licence holder to drive in the short term whilst being properly supervised.

The DVSA states that, on average, it takes 45 hours of professional instruction and 22 hours of private practice to learn to drive. RED’s Learner insurance is a great way to gain those extra recommended hours.

  • Policies start from 1 day up to 5 months
  • It’s your policy, it doesn’t impact the car owner’s no claim’s bonus
  • Pay-as-you-go with no cancellation fee
  • Perfect for nailing parallel parking!
