Already on a trainee licence but not getting the support you need? Switch your licence sponsor to RED. We’ll assess where you are, provide targeted validation training, get you test-ready and start placing pre-paid students in your diary from day one.

Important information

The following points form part of the standard terms and conditions of our franchise agreement and associated services. We share them here, upfront and in plain English, because we believe you deserve full transparency before making any decisions. There are no surprises with RED — what you see is what you get.

  1. Your successful Trainee Licence application is subject to all Part 3 training units having been completed no more than 6 months prior to your application. All units must be documented and signed off by your trainer/s and correctly submitted to DVSA not more than 15 days prior to your scheduled trainee licence and corresponding franchise start date.
  2. All new franchised business partners are required to complete background screening checks including but not necessarily limited to adverse and social media. All checks are facilitated by RED Driver Training and completed by a trusted, independent third party provider.
  3. Average hourly earnings are determined by the total combined hourly rate of lessons delivered and subject to learner lesson package discounts. An inexhaustive list of lesson package options and associated discounts can be viewed here.
  4. All applicable admin fees are non-refundable.
  5. Prices quoted are accurate at time of sending though are subject to change. This email does not constitute a binding agreement between you and RED Driver Training.
  6. All Franchise packages are subject to a 12 month contract.
  7. Start-up offers vary from time to time.
  8. A 1 full day ‘pre start-date’ business workshop delivered via webinar must be attended before a start date can be achieved.
  9. Brand franchise vehicles must meet RED’s business standards as described in the franchise agreement. Exceptions are by approval only and must be agreed prior to your start date. RED will not be held accountable for any financial consequences relating to a vehicle not approved prior to purchase.
  10. All RED learners pay a digital service charge on all lessons sold. This charge supports the Learn to Drive with RED App, giving learners unlimited access to RED Theory content delivering a personalised training plan, including:
  • The DVSA’s official practice questions and hazard perception clips
  • Video case studies showing learners what it’s like in the driver’s seat
  • Practical test success tips from James May
  • Progress tracking to help learners monitor their journey to test success
