The test and driving regulations has changed over the years and at RED we really focus on ensuring that our learners are 100% confident and competent with independent driving.
I have been a driving instructor for nearly nine years now, and it has been the best career move I’ve ever made. As a fresh graduate straight out of university, I was looking for a job that offered flexibility around my home and family—becoming a driving instructor has given me exactly that.
I trained and qualified with RED in 2016 and have stayed with them ever since. RED has been incredibly supportive throughout my journey, even giving me the opportunity to represent the company in media interviews. In fact, I was proud to be awarded PR Ambassador of the Year 2024 by RED!
People often say, “You must be a very patient person to do this job,” and honestly, it just comes naturally. I love teaching and seeing my pupils achieve their goals. My passion for driving and cars comes from my late brother, and I felt there was no better way to honour that than by passing those skills on—teaching others how to drive safely and confidently.
I always emphasise the importance of safety and responsibility with my pupils, making sure they carry essential skills into their future as independent drivers.
My motto is, ‘Never give up on your dreams, if you give it 100% you will be rewarded in the end’.
