What is covered in the course?

Our training covers various topics such as introduction to driving in the UK, understanding the root cause(s) of typical UK incidents, and confidence-building. 

We also provide specific road type confidence-building sessions such as motorways, rural roads, or slow-speed manoeuvring, and general awareness-raising.

The content and format of the course are flexible and can be tailored to each individual driver’s needs and circumstances.

 

Who is the course for?

Our UK Driving Induction & Familiarisation Training course is ideal for all drivers who are new to driving in the UK, whether preparing for a UK test or not.

The course is especially useful for foreign nationals who may have little or no experience of driving in the UK and wish to minimise the risk posed to themselves and other road users.

Duration

1.5hrs per Driver Assessment.

This can be either a half Day 09:00 – 12:30 or 13:00 – 16:30 (Flexible hours can be requested on booking form)

Location

The course can be conducted at any suitable location in the UK. This can be agreed when booking.  

Our trainers can meet delegates at most locations, providing there is a suitable location to leave their car for the duration of the assessment.

If the assessment is taking place in an urban area then the trainer may be able to travel via public transport.

Our UK Driving Induction & Familiarisation Training course is designed for foreign nationals who may have little or no experience of driving in the UK.

However, drivers should have a basic understanding of driving principles and a firm command of the English language.

A full and detailed report will be produced post-training/assessment for the driver and manager.

The report will cover the driver’s strengths, weaknesses and areas for improvement, ensuring the driver has the necessary skills and knowledge to navigate the UK roads safely and confidently.
