Job Specification

Relationship & Acquisition Manager will represent the DRM business with all new and existing clients delivering the brand promise, product propositions and services. Key attributes required for the role are:

  • To be a self-starter focused on the fast growth objectives of RED’s Fleet Training business.
  • To be responsible for a portfolio of clients with targets to grow new and existing revenues from the DRM products and services portfolio.
  • To be able to “hit the ground running” and to co-ordinate planning, development and implementation of tasks simultaneously.
  • To have the ability to generate new business from existing client relationships along with winning new client business and this will be a key measure of success of the job holder.
  • To have a keen attention to detail and be able to manage complex relationships at all levels.


There are 3 key responsibility areas as follows:

1. Planning and Development

  • develop exceptional relationships with the client base and internal stakeholders.
  • promote the wide and growing portfolio of products and services to all clients.
  • achieve and look to exceed revenue and profit targets.
  • promote the RED DRM brand to drive additional commercial opportunities with all clients.


2. Implementation

  • to sell our services and achieve the sales targets as agreed with the Sales & Operations Director.
  • to take responsibility for the delivery of products and services and managing all aspects of the client relationship. This will cover the initial sale, account management, client development, administration and invoicing.
  • to build new client relationships whilst also developing and retaining existing corporate accounts.


3. Retained business

  • build strong relationships to enhance client retention.
  • ensuring business products and services are continued and retained contractually.

Key working relationships

The Job Holder will report directly into the Sales & Operations Director and will have regular communication with the following teams:

  • Head of DRM Training
  • Wider RED Senior Management
  • CEO

Skills and experience

The job holder should be able to demonstrate the following key skills and experiences:

  • excellent written and communication skills.
  • competence as a sales person, with self-confidence and the gravitas, credibility and ability to present and interact with Senior Management both internally and with existing and potential clients.
  • be a self-starter who displays a strong sales and customer orientation.
  • be commercially minded, persuasive and flexible.
  • be competent in the creation of PowerPoint presentations, tender proposals and use of MS Excel spreadsheets.
  • be well organised and show attention to detail.
  • have experience in leading and developing complex projects.
  • be a do-er/a completer and will be action orientated.
  • have B2B / corporate sales experience and a track record of target achievement.
  • It would also be advantageous to have had B2C sales experience and a track record of target achievement in this field.

Further information for consideration:

  • You will need to travel as required and hold a valid UK Driving Licence.
  • You will be ‘based’ in our Donnington offices but with some field based and home working.
  • The annual salary is £32,000 with a bonus opportunity of up to +30% of basic salary.
  • You will benefit from enrolment in the company pension scheme.
  • The working week is based upon 37.5 hours and may occasionally include weekends.
