RED Driving School instructor for Ross-on-Wye
Local man, Graham Hammond, is making a splash after retraining to take his career in a brand new direction, setting up his own business in his home town of Ross.
Graham, of Coughton, Ross-on-Wye, decided to retrain as a driving instructor after returning home to the UK from the Middle East where he worked as a scuba diving instructor and realised his passion for teaching.
Graham said: “Since returning to the UK I desperately wanted a job where I could use my teaching skills as it was this element of the job that I really enjoyed with the diving. I love teaching people new skills, especially a life skill such as learning to drive, which can open up so many opportunities for people and help to broaden their horizons.”
As part of the fastest growing driving school in the UK, Graham – a fully qualified approved driving instructor – receives regular guidance and advice from his regional support manager, Phil Carter, to help him drive the success of his new business.
Phil said: “Graham lives in the area with his family and I know a large part of his job satisfaction comes from the knowledge that he is helping to improve road safety in the town through providing the best possible training to learner drivers in Ross.”
