RED’s CEO takes on 1000 mile motorcycle challenge – wish him luck!
Our CEO, Ian McIntosh is set to swap four wheels for two as part of a 24 hour motorcycle challenge, all in aid of charity.
On the 3rd May, Ian will be attempting to cover 1,000 miles in a journey that will take him and fellow bike enthusiast, Tim Wade of motorcycle dealer Miles King Sport from Hull to Scotland and back. The one requirement is that it must take less than 24 hours.
So far over £1000 has been raised for Dove House Hospice, a Hull based charity which provides care and support to patients, families and friends affected by life limiting illness.
Ian McIntosh said: “Some of the course will be night riding which we hate, but it’s all for a good cause! If we achieve the 1000 mile challenge within the 24 hours, we will qualify for the Iron Butt Association, which is dedicated to safe, long-distance motorcycle riding, and guess what – we get a sticker for our bikes to prove it!”
